Depending
on the course of study chosen, the duration of Fellowship could vary from 1 to 6 years.
This is, however, subject to a yearly review of the performance of the Fellow. In other
words, once we select a girl in class XI, we would ordinarily support her till she completes
a bachelor's or master's degree.
The Fellowships include Senior Secondary, Graduate, Post Graduate , Professional and Vocational
courses.
Candidates for the Fellowships have a choice of various subjects and areas of interest that they
may want to pursue. Preference would be given to the subjects listed below. This however, does
not indicate that a subject not listed below will not be considered.
- Behavioral Sciences
- Psychology
- Social Sciences
- Human Rights
- Law
- Environment Studies
- Humanities
- Education, including Nursery and Montessori teachers training
- Special education
- Specialisation in disability areas like speech therapy,
physical therapy, occupational therapy, mental retardation,
etc.
- Architecture
- Medicine
- Engineering
- Computers
- Graduation or Post Graduation in Sanskrit or other heritage
studies
- Chartered Accountancy
For those with reasonable academic records, any accredited
course of vocational and professional studies can be pursued,
provided it should be affiliated to a recognized university
or institution. These would include:
- Computer software and hardware
- Nursing/ Para-medical training as lab technicians; dental
assistants etc.
- Assistants in the fashion and garment industries.
- Jewellery designing/ Footwear and leather designing etc.
Other courses of study as may be determined and approved
from time to time.
