There is an Orientation Ceremony, in which she, along with her family, is called and the aims and objectives of Udayan Shalini Fellowship Programme and Udayan Care are explained. After the orientation programme, she is inducted formally into the programme in a glittering ceremony. She is administered the oath by some eminent personality. 

In an Induction and Oath taking Ceremony, our Fellows are administered an oath, proclaiming the recipients' commitment to the ideals by which this Fellowship stands. Along with the oath, the Fellows are given the first installment of their Fellowship as well a 'Badge' their 'Badge of Honour ', of being an Udayan Shalini Fellow, which they wear throughout the day and for each function of the programme with pride.

Throughout the year, there are Motivational Workshops, to motivate girls towards a greater future for themselves and for the nation. In the quarterly workshops the fellows are given three monthly installments of their scholarships . Then there are fortnightly workshops too with smaller groups for closer interactions.

Once the Fellow is selected, if she is in school, she is attached to a Mentor. Who interact with them and guide them to attain their goals. The school girls once they reach college are graduated to the role of Peer Mentors and act as a bridge between the school girls and the mentors.

The Fellows once selected, are encouraged to give back to the society rather than remaining just recipients of charity. This is done by encouraging them to participate in the Social Awareness Campaigns conducted by us and by involving themselves in different social servicing activities like teaching neighbourhood children etc.,
