Amit, Date of Birth: 18.12.1990, Date of joining us: 18.05.2002

Having lost his parents, the need for survival dominated is life as Amit had to take care of his sister Monika as well. Thus, he had to stop attending school. With his arrival at Udayan Ghar, his yearning for studies satiated as he received an opportunity to appear for Class X from National Open School. He was simultaneously trained as a health worker in one of the Hospitals and currently he is working at Kailash Hospital, Noida. He enjoys computers and loves to play outdoor games like cricket.

Sanjay, Date of Birth: 28.06.1996, Date of joining: 01.09.2006

Currently a student of class II, in Universal Public School, Sanjay was transferred to us from Asra Shelter Home. He is a child with great energy, enthusiasm and intelligence. He has good communication and social skills but is also naughty at times.

Deepak Mahajan, Date of Birth: 27.07.1994, Date of joining us: 10.05.2000

Having been abandoned along with his two sisters, Deepak has shown great courage in coping with pain. He is a student of Class VIII in Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Vidya Mandir Boarding School, Una, H.P. His cute looks and bubbly nature helps him get attention of others. He is a bright student and enjoys working on computer. Owing to his lower attention span and hyperactivity, he sometimes is unable to focus on his studies. Boarding School environment will surely help him improve his concentration level.

Lalit, Date of Birth: 12.08.1995, Date of joining us: 22.09.1999

An unhappy Lalit ran away from home in search of a better life and arrived at the gates of Udayan Ghar. Now a student of Class V at Mother Teresa Public School, he displays a good grasping power and uses his sharp memory to file away new information in his mind. He is a playful child and is very fond of computers.

Aakash, Date of Birth:01.01.1994, Date of Joining: 22.08.2006

Aakash was embraced by us along with his siblings and enrolled in class IV in Mother Teresa Public School. Now he has got admission in Sagar School, Tijara, Rajasthan and is being transferred there in the same class.  Aakash is a bright child, a good team player and loves to participate in group activities.

Manoj, Date of Birth: 15.02.93, Date of joining us: 15.04.05

Manoj doesn't remember anything about his parents. Though a reserved child, he tries to maintain good relations with everyone. He is well-behaved both at home as well as at school. Even though he has been with us just about a year, he fared extraordinarily well in his final exams, scoring 82% and has been promoted to class VIII in Sri Sri Shankar Vidya Mandir Boarding School H.P. We are sure that his consistent performance will enable him to secure a better future.

Nakul, Date of Birth: 01.04.1992, Date of joining us: 19.08.1999

Nakul was an abandoned child who initially went through a language problem as he spoke only Punjabi and knew no Hindi. However with a lot of effort, he has learnt both Hindi and English. He has an excellent flair for drawing and painting. Extra attention is being given to enhance his comprehension, reading and writing skills. He is studying in class VIII at Mother Teresa School and has completed Basic Computer Course from one of the Udayan Care Computer Learning Centres. Currently, he is pursuing Web-designing course from the same centre.

Pankaj, Date of Birth: 13.11.1993, Date of joining us: 07.04.1999

Pankaj does not have vivid memories of his past. A student of class X from Open School, he is doing fairly well. He is interested in music, dance and painting and is able to perform and act without any prior preparations. He is also pursuing Automobile Repairing Course.

Raj, Date of Birth: 15.05.1997, Date of Joining: 04.09.2006

Raj was handed over to us for his long term rehabilitation, care, support, better education and holistic development. He has been enrolled in I in Universal Public School. Being the youngest in the home, Raj is being pampered by all other children of the home. He appears inclined towards arts though it is too early to say anything.

Orphaned and unable to take care of themselves, he and his younger sister Neetu were taken in our fold for a better future. The past has not deterred him from aiming for the skies. He has been a studious boy and because of his hard work and dedication towards studies, he has finally got admission in Sri Sri Ravi shankar Vidya Mandir Boarding School in Una, H.P in class VIII. The new school will be a perfect place for his holistic development and growth as he is a good sportsperson and actively participates in his school sports events. We take pride in the certificates and medals Raja has won over the years.

Ramesh, Date of Birth: 14.08.1993, Date of joining us: 22.09.1999

He is orphaned and remembers nothing of his past. A student of class VIII in Universal Public School, Ramesh is doing fairly well. He is well behaved, obedient and is always willing to do household chores. He judiciously spends his time in sports, studies and other activities. Lacking in confidence, he needs to be constantly pushed into coming forward. He loves to paint and play on the computers.

Saleem, Date of Birth: 06.08.1994, Date of joining us: 20.05.1999

Completely neglected by his mother and with no trace of his father, Saleem was taken in our fold. He studied till class VII in Mother Teresa Public School and is now a student of Universal Public School in class VIII. He is an intelligent child but lacks concentration and is a bit hyperactive. An affectionate child Ramesh needs a wider environment to channelise his energy fruitfully. Despite being polio-affected, he loves to play outdoor games and has been a keen participator in outdoor activities. He is also very compassionate towards animals.

Sachin, Date of Birth: 14.11.1991, Date of joining us: 01.03.1999

Orphaned, he and his sister Suchita have both been received by us. His keen interest in education has helped him get admission in a prestigious boarding School- Deepmala Pagarani Public School in Rishikesh. He is presently studying in class X and has already participated in National level in Handball. Besides, being one of the disciplined and well behaved boys in the school, he is developing his personality quite well. He has a strong inclination towards sports and is also a computer genius. He is very energetic and has tremendous leadership qualities.

Somnath, Date of Birth: 10.02.1992, Date of joining us: 20.05.1999

A student of class IX in Universal Public School, he was reportedly kidnapped from his home and from where he escaped and landed with us. This shows how brave he must have been. He is a talented cricketer, and has managed himself quite well in his studies and sports. He has been able to score well in his studies owing to his strong conviction and motivation and is a very disciplined and a responsible child.

Kiran, Date of Birth: 30.3.1997, Date of joining us: 30.3.2007

Kiran, is an orphan child, who was found roaming at New Delhi Railway Station by the Police and was produced before the Child Welfare Committee. From there, the child was sent to Udayan Care for his long-term rehabilitation, protection, care, support and education. Kiran is a sharp and an intelligent boy and has been admitted in class I, in Mother Teresa Public School.
