Ritu is an abandoned child with no information of her background. She was handed over to us by Village Cottage Home. She is now a student of class IX in Delhi Public School, and is finding it a bit difficult to be at par with other students of her class. Her teachers and tutors at home are constantly helping her. She has a keen interest in dance and has good potential in painting.

Pinky, Date of Birth: 16.12.1987, Date of joining us: 08.11.1999, Date of transfer from Mehrauli: 01.09.2003

Pinky was brought to us after suffering at the hands of her relatives with whom she was living, following her parents' death. She is a student of class XII in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. Initially, knowing only Bengali, she has now learnt English as well as Hindi. She is working hard in her studies and is interested in dancing and theatre too.

Arti, Date of Birth: 14.11.1992, Date of joining us: 17.04.2000, Date of transfer from Mehrauli: 01.09.2003

Arti came to us after being abandoned by her father following her mother's death. She is a student of class IX in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida; but due to the high standards maintained by the School, she is facing some problems. Constant encouragement from teachers and tutors is helping her to deal with the same. She is a sharp and witty child and is gradually developing good communication skills and learning to act in a responsible manner.

Ruchi, Date of Birth: 17.10.1986, Date of joining us: 10.05.2000, Date of transfer from Sant Nagar: 01.09.2003

Ruchi's father gave up his legal rights on her as he was unable to support his children. She is a student of Class XII in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. She shows keen interest in her studies and is fond of singing and dancing. She is a good natured, intelligent and a well-balanced child, who takes good care of activities at home.

Chanchal, Date of Birth: 12.11.1989, Date of joining us: 12.02.2001, Date of transfer from Mehrauli: 01.09.2003

An orphaned child, Chanchal was forced to work as a maid servant before she was handed over to us by another NGO, where she had stayed for a year. She is a student of class VIII in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. She has started her studies at a very late age, and does not have a very strong base. However, she is trying hard to fit into a school like DPS and is receiving extra inputs from her tutors at home and is working towards improving her academics. She has become quite interactive and understands her duties well.

Ashima, Date of Birth: 27.02.1989, Date of joining us: 24.07.2001, Transferred from Udayan Ghar I; Sant Nagar Home

Ashima ran away from her house from Hyderabad, and was embraced by us in the year 2001. She was admitted to the prestigious DPS School, Noida. Since she started studying at a very late age, she found it very difficult to adjust in a school like DPS. Efforts are being made to bring her at par with other students through extra inputs.

Pooja, Date of Birth: 25.12.1991, Date of joining us: 18.05.2002, Date of transfer from Sant Nagar: 01.09.2003

Pooja, along with her brother and sister was brought to us by her paternal aunt after signing a deed of relinquishment. An outstanding and sensible child, she is now a student of class VII in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. She takes keen interest in her studies and is a responsible and dedicated child. She is also fond of dancing and singing.

Poonam, Date of Birth: 24.06.1997, Date of joining us: 24.04.2003

She is the daughter of one of our caregivers, Ms. Usha Arora at Greater Noida. Poonam is a student of class VI in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. She is known for her soft nature and responsible behaviour and is also doing well academically. She participates actively in outdoor sports and is fond of dancing and music.

Preeti, Date of Birth: 08.08.1992, Date of joining us: 01.08.2003

Preeti was taken in our care as she was abandoned by her father and her mother was unfit to take care of her. She is a student of class VI in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. She takes keen interest in studies and likes reading and outdoor sports. She is a quiet and an obedient child, who needs to be pulled out of her shell, to interact with others more freely.

Neetu, Date of Birth: 12.01.1995, Date of joining us: 19.08.2003

Udayan Care was given the custody of Neetu by her elder sister, who was taking care of her after their father's demise. Neetu is a student of class VI in Dharam Public School, Greater Noida. She is interested in drawing and likes to read short stories. She is a keen learner and has shown positive response to all the inputs. Although she was unable to score well in her exams, she is working hard and getting help from her teachers and other people at home.

Jyoti, Date of Birth: 09.07.1993, Date of joining us: 26.03.2004

Jyoti was compelled to leave her home when her father remarried after her mother's death and adopted a completely uncaring attitude towards her. At Udayan Care, Jyoti studied till class IV in Dharam Public School, Greater Noida and now has been shifted to Sagar School, Tijara, Rajasthan in class V. Her interests include drawing, computer and reading. She is a cheerful child and is always willing to learn.

Rekha, Date of Birth: 15.08.1994, Date of joining us: 27.03.2004

Loss of father at a young age, followed by indifferent and negligent behaviour of her mother, compelled Rekha to leave her home. She came to us through Child Welfare Committee. Rekha is a student of class IV, Dharam Public School, Greater Noida. She is a well-behaved child. She shows interest in painting and enjoys working on computers. Occasionally she becomes quite aggressive, but is open to learn from her mistakes.

Chandini, Date of Birth: 03.05.1988, Date of joining us: 28.05.2004

An orphan child, Chandini’s elder brother had given up her responsibility due to financial problems. Therefore she was brought under our care. She is now preparing for class X from Open School. After learning stitching skills at our Greater Noida center and attending weekly classes at NIFT in Delhi, she has now joined a Beauty course at Shahnaz Hussain’s Beauty Parlour in Delhi. She also takes keen interest in computers, drawing, stitching and household work. Initially, she was a bit aggressive but now she has become calmer and quieter.

An orphaned child, Sheela was brought to us along with her elder sister and two brothers. Now she is a student of Class IV in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. She takes keen interest in drawing, computers and playing. Even though having faced adverse situations in her life, she is a very lovable child and keeps smiling. She is a willing learner and is showing good results academically.

Kanchan Pal, Date of Birth: 10.12.1997, Date of joining us: 02.06.2004

Abandoned by her father, she and her four sisters were taken in our fold for a better future. She is a student of Class V in Delhi Public School, Greater Noida. She takes interest in studies and loves top work on computers. A sweet and delightful child, she loves talking and likes being with other children in the home. She also shows interest in studies, and is faring well in her exams. Her helping and cheerful attitude enables her to be liked by all at home as well as at school.

Komal Pal, Date of Birth: 15.12.1995, Date of joining us: 02.06.2004

Komal and her four sisters were abandoned by their father after their mother expired and they were finally brought to us for long-term care. Komal is a student of class VI. She got admission in Sagar Boarding School in Alwar, Rajasthan. She takes keen interest in drawing and computers. She is very well behaved and a responsible young girl. Though initially a quiet child, she has gradually started expressing herself and her attention span has also improved.

Shalu Pal, Date of Birth: 03.10.1994, Date of joining us: 02.06.2004

Shalu along with her four sisters was abandoned by her father after her mother expired and was finally handed over to us. She is a student of class VIII and has got admission in the prestigious Sagar Boarding School in Alwar, Rajasthan. She always comes up to the expectations of the people at home as well as of her teachers. She has bagged the award of the Best Scholar and the Most Attentive Child. She takes interest in studies and other activities like computers, drawing and dancing. Despite all the unpleasant situations in her life, she has retained confidence in herself.

Abandoned by her father, she and her four sisters were taken in our fold for a better future. Sheetal is now studying in class III in Delhi Public School. She is a sweet baby of the home who is always willing to take on activities. She is a talkative and naughty child who wins other's hearts very easily.

Neelam, along with her four sisters, was abandoned by their father after their mother expired and was finally handed over to us. She is a student of class X at Pragyan School. She is bagging all appreciation not only from people at home, but also from her teachers. She takes keen interest in studies and is very good at computers. Her aggressive behaviour occasionally places her in a tough situation, which is being addressed by the counsellors.

Suman, Date of Birth: 12.12.1990, Date of joining us: 12.06.2004

Suman, along with her younger brother, was put under our care by their grandfather after the death of their parents. She is now preparing for class X from NIOS. Besides learning stitching at our own center, she is attending weekly classes at NIFT in Delhi. She's introvert by nature but there has been an improvement in her communication and social skills.

Pooja Devi, Date of Birth: 05.03.1997, Date of joining us: 27.07.2005

Pooja was handed over to us along with her siblings by her grandmother. She has appeared for class III exams from Open School; but is now admitted in a regular school in class II in G.M. Memorial School. She is a well-behaved and cheerful child. She understands her responsibilities well and is taking interest in studies.

Kajal Devi, Date of Birth: 01.08.1999, Date of joining us: 27.07.2005

Kajal, the younger sister of Pooja, was embraced by us since her grandmother was unable to take care of the children. She is an affectionate and a motivated child. She takes keen interest in doing all kinds of work. She has now reached class II in Delhi Public School.

She is an orphan child. She came to us through another NGO. She has given exams of class III from National Open School and is now admitted in class VI at Samar Valley school. She is a responsible child and takes keen interest in all the activities. She is learning stitching with full interest.

Suman (Jr), Date of Birth: 15.07.1998, Date of Joining us: 19.09.2005

Suman's mother is physically disabled and her financial condition did not allow her to take care of her children; so she handed over Suman along with her younger siblings to us. Suman is a student of class II in Delhi Public School. She is a sweet chatterbox and is loved by everyone. She takes keen interest in all the activities like painting, music, computers, dance, etc.

Kalpana Dayali, Date of birth: 01.06.1995, Date of joining us: 06.12.2005

Kalpana's father was a truck driver but suffered from chronic illness, and expired 4 years back. She was relinquished by her mother and was therefore brought under the care of Udayan Care. Now, Kalpana is in class VI in G.M.Memorial School.

Priyanka, Date of Birth: 3.11.97, Date of joining us: 18.01.2006

After the death of her parents, her paternal uncle was not able to take care of her. Due to her family circumstances, she was handed over to us. She is a student of class IV in G. M. Memorial. She is a responsible and mature child; with good communication skills and takes keen interest in all the activities like music, dance, painting, etc.

Shivani, Date of Birth: 25.02.1994, Date of joining us: 16.02.2006

Shivani was handed over to us through Pardada Pardadi Educational Society, Anoopshahr. Her father was unable to take care of her after her mother passed away. Before coming to us, Shivani received basic education from some local school. Attempts are being made to bring her up to the level. We got her admitted in class II in G.M. Memorial. She is an affectionate child and is willing to learn.

Asmani, Date of Birth:28. 01.1997, Date of Joining us:27.07.2006

Asmani, a child from West Bengal was left at the railway station by a woman from her village. Her father married another woman after her mother expired. She does not have any siblings. CWC gave the child to us for her long term care and rehabilitation. She has now been admitted in class 1 at Aryadeep Public School. 

Aarti (Jr), Date of Birth: 16.03.2003, Date of joining us: 22.08.2006

Arti, Anjali and Aakash are orphaned siblings who belong to Nepal. After their parents’ death, they were brought to Delhi by their aunt but since the aunt’s financial condition did not permit her to continue looking after the children, they were relinquished and handed over to us for their long-term rehabilitation care & support. She has recently been admitted to Aryadeep School in Nursery class.

Manpreet kaur, Date of Birth: 19.01.1995, Date of Joining us:28.11.2006

Manpreet kaur was deserted by her mother as her father was an alcoholic and also mentally unstable. Therefore, her Bua gave the custody of the child to us in order to ensure long term care. Manpreet is now studying in class VI in Dharam Public School.
