The children of Greater Noida homes are a lucky bunch - they have a mentor like Accenture who constantly conducts interesting knowledge sessions for them. Recently, the organisation held a workshop on Communication Skills and spread awareness about Cyber Safety. Ever since the workshop, the children haven't stopped talking nineteen to the dozen!
Notebooks, pens, pencils and colouring books are some of the critical learning tools for a child's education and holistic development. Often, our Little Friends have to compromise on these basics, but not this time - Big Friends of Udayan Care came together to make individual contributions, so that they could gift each Little Friend two notebooks and pens. Now, the Little Friends go to school and study hard with their new stationery and can't stop showing it off!
UK-based Charlotte Ward volunteered at our Mehrauli home through Artreach India and changed it forever - literally! The basement of the Mehrauli home now boasts a beautiful custom-mural designed with the children's participation - a perfect paint job done by the Vatika group! Charlotte even conducted various Arts and Crafts workshops for the kids, inspiring them to become mural artists themselves!
The Arrows Group are deeply involved in Udayan Care's growth - they never fail to enrich our young minds. Recently, their international employees visited Udayan Ghars to conduct a gymnastics workshop. When they organised a Family Day for their employees, they included our children as well- an extended family that's fun, young and loves to party!
Daphne, our long-term German supporter, and her friend Nadine came bearing several incredible gifts for the children of the Sant Nagar home recently. While they advised the children on studying hard and playing hard, they also gifted the kids with stationery, games, story books and fashionable clothes. Power cuts didn't make a difference after the visit - the home was lit up by smiles for several days after! Thank you, Daphne and Nadine!
28 of UPS Foundation's volunteers helped trainees at our Narsinghpur IT Centre reconnect with their childhood with a day of games like 'Dog and Bone', Tug of War, Kho Kho, Cricket and Painting. They only stopped for refreshments and resumed the fun shortly after, giving everybody a taste of the days when there were no cares and absolute freedom was the only thing that mattered.
Anita ShekarAkerkar, the stellar volunteer of Udayan Care, USA, organised a fundraiser - 'Sip & Savour' - to generate support for Udayan Care. And that's just the beginning - board member Monika Saxena conducted the 'Run for Care: Udayan Care USA Family 5K Walk/Run' towards the cause of educating the Indian girl child and building awareness for Udayan Care.
