Enablers – whether they’re in the form of supporters or donors – help individuals achieve their dreams. They are catalysts whose assistance is invaluable because it brings in help in the form of partners, contributors and generous souls. Udayan Care itself experienced the spirit of giving in many dimensions, volunteering our knowledge and gaining a lot more along the way.

Madness in Manesar!

Ms. Bishakha from VIMHANS decided to gift the children of Mehrauli home an unforgettable experience – a trip to the Never Enuf Garden at Manesar for a visit to the miniature railway museum. Every aspect of the trip – right from the transport to the food – was taken care of by VIMHANS. It was an exciting journey of travel learning for the children.

Udayan Care’s education initiative

Joy of Education is Udayan Care’s way of ensuring the education of underprivileged children. The campaigns run under this theme seek the financial support of individuals and corporates in making the right to education a reality for deserving children, girls and youth of the community.

All smiles with the India Smile Challenge

Every year, Udayan Care participates in the online India Smile Challenge organised by Give India – an online portal, and every year we are amazed at the responses we receive. The campaign runs for a month, and corporates registered with Give India under the employee payroll programme raise funds and donate it to an NGO of their choice. This year, Genpact signed up for us in the corporate challenge category and helped raise an incredible INR 1,541,966.62 to support Udayan Shalini Fellows! Thank you, Genpact!

When Udayan Care mentors guided DCPOs

Udayan Care was invited by SavetheChildren, Punjab to conduct an introductory workshop on foster care for the DCPOs/Protection officers IC and Protection Officers NIC from Punjab. On behalf of Udayan Care, Rahul Raja Sharma (Assistant Manager, Udayan Ghar) and Anirudh Singh Raguwanshi (Big Friend Little Friend Programme) conducted the session on Foster Care with reference to the newly launched foster care guidelines by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.

Running for a cause at the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2015

Udayan Care has participated in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon since its inception; it’s an opportunity to raise funds and cement our partnerships with corporates and individuals that support us year after year. This year too, we ran with 200 individual runners, while three corporate teams – Arrows Group, MakeMyTrip and Vatika Limited – participated as the Corporate Challenge team of Udayan Care. For the first time, our Managing Trustee Dr. Kiran Modi and COO ArunTalwar participated as Care Champions and pledged to raise funds to ensure thatno girl drops out of school. The amount raised will contribute towards our ‘Joy of Education’ campaign. In the meantime, we’ve got our trainers on and ready to take on the half marathon in 2016 with renewed vigour!
