CELEBRATING THE JOY OF GIVING

Daan Utsav was celebrated across Udayan Ghars. With the help of volunteers, children wrote beautiful messages for our soldiers by motivating and thanking them for their unconditional support on the borders. Thanks to the power of social media, we conveyed their messages to the Indian Army.

Children from Mehrauli Ghars celebrated Daan Utsav with the street children living under Sarita Vihar flyover. The children not only gifted their stationery items and toys to the street children but also did craft activities & played games with them.

Similarly, our interns celebrated ‘Joy of Giving’ and raised funds for the office support staff and purchased shirts for them. The happiness on their faces was priceless.

SOCIAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS

Our 45 graphic designing students conducted Clean Yamuna campaign at Nizamuddin Yamuna Bridge and ITO Bridge. These young designers used their creative skills in making all the communication material such as posters, illustrations, etc. Ajay Arora (Sub Division Magistrate-Mayur Vihar) and Haji Sharif Ahmad (Chief Warden, District-East Delhi), along with 40 volunteers from the defence, joined the campaign.

Our Udayan Shalini Fellows from Haridwar chapter conducted a mass campaign on cleanliness. Social workers from Prem Nagar Ashram also joined our Shalinis to enforce and inculcate the value of social responsibility.

CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION AUTUMN MELA

Udayan Care as the sole NGO participated in the Canadian High Commission Autumn Mela to showcase our skill centre products; which supports the women from underprivileged sections by skilling them. Thanks to Nadia Stuewer, our Canadian volunteer who made it possible for us.

NURTURING SKILLS

Fiona Wright and 5 more ladies from New Zealand and Australia visited our Jagshanti Udayan Ghar, Greater NOIDA.  They very much impressed with one of our girl Sindrella and helped her in setting-up our block printing unit.

DIWALI STALLS

We are thankful to corporates like MakeMyTrip, Vatika Group, Genpact, American Express, Orient Electric, Mobiloitte Financial, DEN Network Ltd, Royal Bank of Scotland and Acharya Narendra Dev College for providing us space for putting up stalls at their premises. It was a huge success for us. We especially acknowledge our Administration team members- Deepak, Ramandeep Kaur, Uma Shankar, Sahab Lal, Ravi Kumar, etc. who worked diligently and made it possible.
