God assigns his hardest battle to its toughest soldiers: Dipika Makkar (Phagwara)

After her parents separated, Dipika was left emotionally devastated. As she battled with the unfortunate reality and the uprising financial scarcity, a friend introduced her to Udayan Shalini Fellowship. She believes, during her dark hours, that this program came in as a savior.

“With the financial aid, I was able to pay my college fees and afford the expenses of buying books and other study material” says Dipika. She further adds that the essential life skills, provided by the workshops organized by USF, helped her in coping up with financial challenges of life as well as other vulnerabilities. As a result of her hard work and determination, Dipika has now received an offer letter from TATA Consultancy Services as a Graduate Trainee.

Holding onto big dreams with little hands: Manish wins Bronze.

There is nothing more surreal than witnessing a young child hold onto big dreams with his little hands. And we at Udayan Ghar are always filled with immense pride to see our little champions running, pouncing and hustling towards their dream.

Our very own special little Manish is a born fighter combatting all odds of his disability and the stigma along with it. We are delighted to report that Manish has not only participated in but also won the Bronze medal in the Shot-Put event at the State level sports Special Olympics & Paralympic Games for Special Children conducted by Special Olympic Bharat a National Sports Federation designated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India
