Meeting with Shalinis’ Parents

Parents’ meeting was organized for the USF fellows parents in the Gurgaon chapter. The objective of this parents meeting was to interact with the parents, to make them understand the role of parents in the growth of fellows and to discuss the challenges hindering the progress of the fellows.  This meeting was particularly organized for the newly inducted batch 5th fellow’s parents by Dr. Avtar Singh (Core Committee Convener- Gurgaon) and other members.

“My daughter always shares her learning of the workshop with us at home. Despite of the socially discouraging environment in our family and neighborhood, my daughter is the first one in my family who is fulfilling her dream of education. I am very thankful to Udayan Shalini fellowship."

~ Mr. Kamleshwar Dubey, A fellows’ father

6th Alumnae Meet

Udayan Shalini Fellowship Alumnae Association successfully conducted the “6th Alumnae Meet” at Mahavir Model School, Model Town. Many alumnae came together to share their experiences and success stories with each other. It was attended by 40 Shalinis, all established in fields of their choice and around 20 mentors.

The alumnae talked about the impact Udayan Shalini Fellowship programme had in their lives. Shalinis also shared their belief that money is not the only commodity that is fun to give; we can give our time, our expertise; we can give our love or simply give a smile.

“There is nothing more rewarding than giving back and making a difference in the lives of people.”

A quote in which our Shalinis truly believe in. Shalinis shared various ways in which they contribute to the society like some alumnae fellows are giving a part of salary for supporting other students, some are teaching and mentoring the young fellows, some provide career counseling and help in conducting workshops for the young fellows, and in different activities of Udayan Shalini Fellowship programme like USF induction (for parent’s interaction), in conducting written tests, interviews and home visits, etc.

Our Alumnae culminated the event by taking a pledge once again to reach out to the underserved section of the society throughout the life and to build an India where righteousness and honor are always respected.
