VOL.9, NO.4, JULY-AUGUST 2015

Young minds are like sponges - they soak up enormous amounts of information and knowledge, especially if it is presented to them differently. And we must admit, our supporters - published authors, individuals, and organisations alike - know exactly how to break the monotony and provide enriching life, learning, and fun experiences to our children! It is indeed fortunate that Udayan Care enjoys the support and volunteering of many talented and skilled individuals across the globe. The organisations and individuals who volunteer with us give the young minds at Udayan Care a sneak peek into the real world, while contributing to their holistic growth so that they're better-prepared for the life that awaits them. The last few months saw the influx of amazing people who shared their valuable time and experiences with Udayan Care. Here are the highlights.

"The fact that Volunteers were not thought of as just people doing footwork, but could be seen as people having ideas and given respect, taught me to look forward to work ethics in my professional life. - Kaamini Jha, JIIT.

Impact through Internship

Ten interns worked intensely for the Big Friend Little Friend Programme with two clear goals in mind: to understand how the programme helped impact a Little Friend's life through the Big Friend association and to improve the academic performance of kids in the community. After month-long efforts, our interns have drafted the final modules, which will be of great help in taking the project forward.
