About the Programme

Udayan Care's Skilling & Livelihood Training Program was initiated in 2004 to enable underserved youth to improve their livelihood options and contribute to their family income. The program initially focused on Digital Literacy courses and, over a decade, also introduced Job-Specific Courses to its portfolio. The program has been empanelled with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Tally Education Private Limited, and Microsoft, providing training to youth in IT-ITes, BFSI, Telecom, Retail, and digital literacy courses such as Graphic Designing, Data Entry Operator, Accounts Assistant (Tally Prime), Retail Sales Associate, Broadband Technician, Mobile Repairing, Customer Care Executive, and Community Technology Skills Program (CTSP).

Additionally, we are focusing on the holistic development of students through regular training sessions in soft skills, personality development, and basics of financial literacy, as well as conducting workshops, activities, industry expert sessions, and exposure visits. This helps us prepare them for jobs and sustain their livelihood.

Currently, 25 Centres operate across six states of India, equipping 30,400 students with the dignity of self-reliance while ensuring 70% placement of students in ongoing job-specific courses.

Programme Objective

Digital Literacy

The program's core objective is to improve the lives of underserved youth and women by fostering digital literacy. The courses impart essential knowledge to our students in IT, Mobile Repair, Broadband Technology, Retail, language, and interpersonal skills, enabling them to use technology to enhance their employability.

The program provides skills training to disadvantaged sections of society, including slums, resettlement colonies, and other low-income neighborhoods, with a strong focus on youth and women.

To promote gender equality, we ensure that approximately half of our enrollees are women.

Empowering Youth with Holistic Growth

To empower disadvantaged youth, women, and children and impart them with holistic growth and development, we train them to hone their soft skills. Regular sessions aimed at personality development and leadership building coupled with co-curricular activities help promote peer bonding and foster team spirit. Our enrolees emerge as confident job seekers, enriched with the ability to make informed decisions.

Inspiring careers

Exposing students to the skills and information aligned with their choice of career paths enhances their confidence. Therefore, we continuously work to connect different resource persons from corporate to facilitate sessions and workshops. The program also facilitates one-on-one interaction of the students with corporates and professionals to ensure maximum industry exposure and career guidance.Social Impact on Community
